2007-2008 Employee Parking Information

Employees who are having parking fees deducted from payroll do not have to take any action at this time unless their mailing addresses have changed over the past two years. A permit for the same zone and gate access will be mailed to employees and payroll deduction rates will change each September. Most employee permits expire August 15, 2009.

To view and update mailing addresses or waiting list preferences, visit the on-line registration site between June 11 and August 17, 2007. Have your NetID available to make changes.

Employees whose permits are not paid by payroll deduction may find information here.

Rates for non-reserved spaces in decks and surface lots have increased slightly.

Program Improvements

  • H permits, HEW permits and Green (GRN) permits are now valid for two years.
  • License plate and vehicle information can be updated year-round on this website.
  • Waiting list selections for different parking facilities can be reviewed and priorities set during the on-line process.
  • Employees not on a waiting list may select two waiting list options.

Pre-tax Information

  • Federal law allows parking costs to be deducted from the salary of eligible employees before taxes are applied.
  • By paying for a permit through payroll deduction, the amount of salary subject to Federal and State withholding tax is reduced by the cost of the permit.
  • Payroll deducting permit fees is the only way to for eligible employees to take advantage of the PRE-TAX opportunity. A take-home pay calculator is available to demonstrate this benefit.
